My cousin asked me to help her with her son’s primary color themed first birthday party invitations. I had recently used Microsoft Word to design invitations my son’s train themed birthday, so that’s what I was comfortable with at the time and what I used to design Josh’s invites. I gave her a few options, and after a few tweaks, this is what I came up with:
FREE DIY Templates
Are you planning a primary color themed party and looking for some invitation ideas? Maybe looking to design your own DIY invitation? Well, I came up with four different FREE** templates for you to download, edit, and use for yourself! These templates are clean and simple, and completely customizable.
Here they are:
How do I use these templates?
The templates are formatted to be printed as 5 X 7 invites. Please keep this in mind as you design.
- Download the image(s) you want. Click on the image you want to use. This will open the image in a new window. Right click the image, then click “Save Image As…”. Save the image to your computer.
- Open the image in PicMonkey* or another image editing software of your choosing. (I suggest PicMonkey* because it’s free, online, and easy to use. Haven’t used it before? Seriously, it’s pretty easy, give it a go. I’ll be here cheering you on.)
- Use the left side of your brain and make the greatest invitation, ever.
