Although trained as a librarian, I now work solely from home as a full-time Mom, and part-time vintage finder, blogger, creator, local MOPS co-coordinator, decorator, and handmade party decor and gift creator. This blog is where I share ideas, thoughts, and techniques and have a community of vintage and party lovers.
If you’ve ever done the true colors personality test, I am a hardcore orange, with strong green tendencies. Lace and Yarn is where I express and share my creativity. I share everything from digital art, DIYs, knit patterns and projects, to design and home decor, and through vintage finds and vintage-inspired party items and gifts. I love old things. One of my favorite things to do is go estate sale-ing, thrift store-ing, and flea market-ing – without kids is a bonus. I collect some vintage household items and clothes, and I sell the things I don’t have a place for.
Currently, I am selling items I find and make on Etsy. Visit my shop. The vintage section of my Etsy shop specializes in vintage wedding gowns, party items, and household items. The handmade portion is mostly knit gifts and party items. All of Lace and Yarn’s items are either handmade or handpicked by me, Betsy.
I do take custom orders for handmade items, you can message me an idea via Etsy or send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re looking for a specific vintage item(s), I am willing to keep an eye out for you while I’m out. Start a conversation with me at email@example.com.
